Groundworker Based in Feltham Full Time Permanent £36,627 + van & fuel card 40 Hours – Mon -Friday 7.30am – 4.00pm About Lampton Services Lampton Services is a division of the Lampton Group of companies, a Local Authority Trading Company wholly owned by the London Borough of Hounslow (LBH). The business is split into three distinct entities, Recycle 360, Greenspace 360 and Coalo.  About The Role;- To provide a high quality, customer and quality focused service, delivering a range of ground works activities commensurate within our repairs department to the London Borough of Hounslow To always understand and comply with all Health and safety regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Majority of external works. Dig, excavate and remove spoil. Cut out tree roots where necessary and replace base and paving. Basic shuttering work to form steps and paving.  Slab including sub-base work. Undertake basic level of brickwork. Instal fencing including digging out, removing and replacing. Delivering/collecting of parts for rework jobs. Removing waste from site. General labouring duties, as required.General Display a high level of customer care when dealing with tenants and leaseholders and contribute positively towards a high-quality customer focused service.  Work in a safe, clean and tidy manner ensuring minimal disruption to residents during the programmes of work, removing material, debris and tools from site. This includes ensuring essential utilities/facilities are maintained. Understand and comply with all Health and safety regulations and company policies Responsible for managing an imprest stock and ensuring materials required for daily runs of works are collected in advance to avoid unnecessary delays. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork/electronic updates including timesheets within agreed timescales. As required, to work on other work streams within the repairs team. This includes working to competing deadlines, moving jobs at short notice ensuring properties are left in a safe and tidy manner.  Able to work alone and in pairs and be able to use own initiative with minimum supervision. Be able to drive and hold a full driving licence. Responsible for a company vehicle/own vehicle that transports tools and materials. This includes cleanliness, regular vehicle checks on company vans and services and maintenance of own vehicle(s), if applicable, used for work including driving licenses and business vehicle insurances. Use of basic tools commensurate with the work and ensure tools provided are checked regularly to ensure they remain safe and fit for purpose. To follow all reasonable management requests Ensure you remain up to date with all relevant compliance and mandatory training that will enable you to fulfil your role's requirements. This is not an exhaustive list. Education & Qualifications Required: Apprenticeship / City & Guilds / NVQ 2-3 equivalent relevant experience.  Previous experience in a labouring role. Previous experience of working in a Social Housing Repairs environment is desirable. Good level of numeracy, literacy, written, oral and communication skills.   Experience of working within a customer facing role, delivering an outstanding customer experience.
