Senior Buyer

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to manage purchasing activities within the energy and natural resources industry. This role is based in Bristol and requires expertise in procurement and supply chain operations to ensure effective sourcing and supplier management. Description The Senior Buyer will be responsible for; Oversee procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms. Monitor and manage supplier performance to meet quality and delivery standards. Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement strategies with business goals. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in procurement processes. Prepare and manage procurement reports to track performance and identify improvement opportunities. Support cost-saving initiatives and contribute to budget management efforts. Address and resolve any procurement-related issues or conflicts effectively.Profile A successful Senior Buyer should have: Professional experience in procurement or supply chain management within the energy and natural resources industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support effective decision-making. Proficiency in procurement systems and software tools. Knowledge of supplier management and contract negotiation processes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with both internal teams and external suppliers. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining compliance with procurement standards. This role is office based 4 days and one day home based. Role based in BristolJob Offer The Senior Buyer will receive; Salary between £40,000 and £48,500 Generous holiday allowance, including 26 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
