Operations Delivery Manager

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Operations Delivery Manager on behalf of our client based in Braintree, on a full-time and temporary 4 month contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy Waste Service team, supporting the delivery and improvement of large-scale waste management operations, including servicing over 60,000 properties as well as local businesses and schools. You will coordinate and support multiple operational projects to deliver key waste service changes. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and the ability to drive service improvements across a fast-paced environment. Roles & Responsibilities: * Coordinate and deliver multiple operational projects within waste services * Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets * Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (e.g. Health & Safety, Operator’s Licence) * Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders * Lead and support operational teams, including managers, drivers, and loaders * Review and improve current processes to drive efficiency and performance * Support the successful implementation of new waste service initiatives * Work collaboratively across departments to deliver service improvements Skills, Experience & Qualifications: Essential: * Experience in operational service delivery * Strong project management and process improvement experience * Leadership and people management skills * Knowledge of health & safety legislation * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * Strong organisational and time management skills * IT proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Desirable: * Relevant degree or professional qualification * Experience in waste management, logistics, or transport * CoTC or CPC qualification * Experience in a public sector or similar organisation Hours: Mon-Fri (37 hours per week) Salary: £22 per hour (PAYE) Market 36 Recruitment Ltd cover a range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Engineering, HR & Finance and IT.
