Practice Manager/Senior Accountant

Jennings Morton Friel Associates are partnering with a forward-thinking firm of Accountants in their recruitment for an ACCA/ACAqualified Practice Manager/Senior Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

Duties for the position include:

• Working closely with the Director.
• Helping to drive the business forward by engaging with warm leads passed over by the Director.
• Take ownershipfor a portfolio of Clients.
• Preparation of clients monthly management accounts to agreed deadlines on various platforms either Client or Company (Xero, IRIS and Quickbooks).
• Treasury management (including forecasts and transfer requests) setting up client payments on various banking platforms.
• Corporate tax filings
• Review of Client payrolls prepared by in-house payroll team on SAGE to ensure technical accuracy and compliance (Good knowledge of pension administration, staff expense payments, stock awards, variable compensation, leaver and starter issues).
• Preparation of Statutory Accounts under UK GAAP on Caseware & filing clients' Statutory Accounts under UK GAAP with Company House and coordination with external auditors.
• Preparation of clients VATand submission of quarterly VAT returns to HMRC
• Company secretarial support for Clients.
• Communicating with Clients to obtain approvals for purchases and staff expenses.
