Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with PLC experience, looking to join a growing engineering business working on bespoke automation projects with global reach, that will allow you to take ownership of projects while developing your skills through ongoing training and progression?
You will be responsible for designing and delivering electrical systems for automated industrial equipment, from initial concept through to commissioning. This includes producing technical drawings, developing PLC systems, and supporting on-site installation and fault finding both in the UK and internationally.
The company is a fast-growing manufacturer of bespoke industrial ovens and finishing equipment, supplying into sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and general engineering. With continued investment and expansion, they offer a dynamic environment with real opportunities to progress and develop technically.
This role would suit an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in PLC programming and industrial automation, looking for a varied role combining design, hands-on engineering, and occasional travel.
The Role:
Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts
* Develop and configure PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff)
* Produce BOMs, technical documentation, and design specifications
* Support build, installation, commissioning, and fault finding
* Work on-site integrating systems with third-party equipment
* Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards
The Person:
Experience in electrical design within automation or manufacturing
* PLC programming knowledge (Siemens preferred)
* Strong CAD skills (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar)
* Willingness to travel
