Job summaryWe are seeking an enthusiasticClinical or Counselling Psychologistto join our CAMHS Tier 4 Alternative to Admission Day Hospital and Home Treatment service. Our service provides interventions for young people(ages 12-18) presentingwith complex mental health issuesincluding eating disorders, psychosis and mania, OCD and emotion dysregulationrequiring Tier-4 level care, but whobenefitfrom a more flexible,community basedapproach.Working within an innovative and supportivemultidisciplinaryteamand supported by senior clinicians, you will deliver high-quality psychological assessment,formulationand evidence-based interventions. You will support with risk management and liaise with external agencies whererequired.You will contribute to the team's learning culture through supervision,mentoringand training, while championing diversity, inclusion, and trauma-informed, culturally sensitive practice to improve outcomes for service users and staff.We arebased at WokinghamHospital but require the need for flexibility to support the delivery of our home treatment pathway.Please note: We welcome applications fromfinal-yeartrainees, individuals who have completed all training requirements except their research portfolio, and those who have achieved their doctorate but are awaiting HCPC registration. Please review the job summary for full details of the conditions of appointment and include youranticipatedcompletion dates in your supporting information.Main duties of the jobAssessment andFormulation: Conduct clinical assessments and develop clear and detailed psychological formulation of the service user's presenting difficulties.Treatment Planning: In collaboration with the service user, carers,and multi-disciplinary colleagues, develop personalised treatment plans based on service user needs,assessment findings, formulation of the presenting problems, and evidence of effectivenessto support recoverygoalsand improve quality of life.Individual and GroupInterventions: Deliver evidence basedpsychologicalinterventions using a range ofmodels, specialisttechniques and modalities, and adapting interventions based on evolving needs and formulations.Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary team clinicians and multi-agency representatives to ensure the delivery of integrated andpsychologically informedcare, coordinating and leading this whenrequired.Supervision and Training: In line with experience and development plans, provide supervision and mentorship to junior clinicians and trainees, contributing to their professional development and enhancing theinterventionsthey offer.Research and Development:Regularly undertake applied research that contributes to the evidence base for clinical practice, as well asparticipating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of services.About usBerkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist mental health and community health services trust.
