Business Analyst (Ecommerce / Digital Platforms)

Lancashire, hybrid (around 2 days a week on site)

£40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience, plus benefits

The company

A well established UK industrial distributor with a big ecommerce operation. They're bringing more of their digital platform in house, so there's a growing development team and real scope to shape how things are done.

The role

You'll be the link between the business and a developer squad that's building out. You'll work closely with a Programme manager, the dev team and stakeholders across the business, turning "we need this" into clear, buildable requirements.

What you'll be doing

  • Running workshops and conversations with stakeholders to work out what they actually need
  • Writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria the devs can pick up and run with
  • Mapping current and future processes, and spotting where things can be simpler
  • Helping the Product Owner prioritise and build business cases for new features
  • Supporting testing and UAT, and making sure what's delivered is what was asked for
  • Being the person who understands the end user and how the solution really gets used

What we're looking for

  • Solid experience as a BA on software, digital or ecommerce projects
  • Comfortable in agile teams (scrum or similar)
  • Good at asking the awkward questions and explaining things simply
  • Confident with stakeholders at all levels
  • Nice to have: ecommerce or retail/distribution background, ERP exposure, or any experience working alongside external development partners
