Technical Sales Assistant – Edinburgh – Climate Centre

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
• Handle customer queries and provide solutions, including sourcing, quoting, and managing special orders.
• Proactively contact customers to build relationships and drive branch sales, particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product developments, market trends, and industry changes.
• Coordinate with suppliers to source materials, check availability, and negotiate costs.

This is a full‑time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 08:00‑17:00. There is also flexibility, which can be discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Ability to resolve customer queries.
• A proactive, target‑driven mindset.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and to take on a diverse role.
• Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Full UK manual driving licence is advantageous.
