A well-established regional construction contractor based in Liverpool is looking to strengthen its commercial team with the appointment of a Project Quantity Surveyor or an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in their career.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business delivering a diverse range of refurbishment and fit-out projects across the NHS, Education and Commercial sectors.

The Role

Working closely with the Commercial Manager and operational teams, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation and submission of valuations
• Cost reporting and forecasting
• Subcontractor procurement and account management
• Managing variations and change control
• Preparation and agreement of final accounts
• Supporting project delivery teams with commercial advice
• Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and maximise profitability

About You

• Assistant Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 3 years' experience looking to progress, or an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor
• Previous experience within construction, refurbishment or fit-out projects
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Full UK driving licence preferred
