Transport Manager
£50,000 + + Car Allowance + Healthcare + Pension

Are you an experienced Transport Manager or Supervisor with a proven track record of leading transport operations, driving compliance and developing high-performing teams?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a multisite operation, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of a busy transport team.
You’ll lead a diverse team of Drivers, Supervisors and Transport Office personnel, ensuring transport operations remain compliant, efficient and customer-focused while continually identifying opportunities to improve performance.

The Role
- Lead and manage transport operations across multiple depots
- Ensure full compliance with Operator Licence requirements, Drivers' Hours and transport legislation
- Oversee vehicle scheduling, route planning and operational resource management
- Manage transport budgets, monitor KPIs and identify efficiency improvements
- Investigate incidents, accidents and compliance issues, implementing corrective actions where required
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and transport documentation
- Deliver Toolbox Talks and support ongoing driver training and development
- Manage employee performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Build strong relationships with Operations, HR and key internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service levels
- Drive continuous improvement across transport operations
About You
- International Transport Manager CPC is essential
- Previous experience in a Transport Manager, Transport Compliance or Senior Transport Supervisor position
- Strong knowledge of Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and Operator Licence compliance
- Proven leadership experience managing operational transport teams
- Experience managing budgets, KPIs and operational performance
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills
- IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office and transport compliance systems
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Flexible to travel between regional depots when required
