Morson Edge is currently seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join their team. Location: Burnley Contract: Ongoing Rate: £26.19 Umbrella / £19.70 PAYE Overview This opportunity sits within a specialist sheet metal team based in Burnley, supporting a well-established and structured aerospace manufacturing environment. You’ll be producing high-quality aircraft components using stretch forming and associated fabrication techniques, working within a team that genuinely values precision, adherence to process, and pride in delivering quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Carrying out stretch forming of aircraft sheet metal components to exact specifications Marking out, cutting, and forming materials accurately in line with engineering requirements Working confidently from engineering drawings, templates, and detailed work instructions Using a range of hand tools and mechanical aids, including presses and forming equipment Ensuring all completed work consistently meets strict quality and safety standards Maintaining a clean, compliant, and well-controlled working environment at all times Requirements Time-served apprenticeship in Sheet Metal Work or a closely related discipline Previous experience within aerospace manufacturing is preferred Strong, practical understanding of sheet metal forming processes and techniques Ability to accurately interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical documentation High attention to detail, with a focus on producing consistent, high-quality workmanship The Setting Established and reputable aerospace manufacturing site in Burnley Long-term, stable contract opportunity offering ongoing work Professional and well-structured working environment with clear processes Supportive team culture made up of skilled and experienced colleagues A reliable role.
