Senior Engineering Geologist London, UK £37,000 - £42,000 We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Geologist to join a leading ground investigation contractor and consultancy in London. This is an excellent opportunity to take a senior role within a well-established ground engineering team, delivering complex and high-profile projects across the capital and wider UK. The Role You will play a key role in managing and delivering ground investigation projects, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the technical and commercial success of the team. Key Responsibilities Managing ground investigation projects from tender through to completion Designing and specifying site investigations Supervising site works and ensuring quality delivery Logging and reviewing soil and rock data in line with BS5930 Producing and reviewing factual and interpretative reports Undertaking geotechnical design input and assessments Client liaison and attending project meetings Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and geologists Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standardsRequirements Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline 5+ years' relevant industry experience Strong background in ground investigation and reporting Proven experience managing projects and clients Excellent technical, communication, and organisational skills Full UK driving licenceDesirable Chartered or working towards Chartership (e.g. CGeol, CSci, or ICE) Experience on major infrastructure or urban development projects Strong understanding of geotechnical design principles Commercial awareness and business development experienceWhat's On Offer Competitive salary with regular reviews Bonus scheme Hybrid working options Clear progression into Principal/Associate level Support towards Chartership and CPD Opportunity to work on landmark London projectsThis is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior role within a dynamic and growing team, working on some of the most exciting ground engineering projects in London
