About the role

Arcas is supporting a growing organisation that’s looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to take real ownership of their environment and help drive stability, performance, and continuous improvement across their estate. This is a role for someone who enjoys tightening things up, improving monitoring and reliability, reducing technical debt, and making an environment run the way it should — not firefighting every day. What you’ll be working on * Windows Server administration & optimisation * VMware / Hyper‑V virtualisation * Networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, switching) * AD, Group Policy, M365, permissions & access * Intune, SCCM, MDT, WDS * General automation / scripting to drive efficiency Role responsibilities * Managing and maintaining the core infrastructure across servers, virtualisation, networking, storage, and identity * Monitoring system performance, identifying issues early, and tightening up weak spots before they become problems * Handling incident response, root‑cause analysis, and implementing long‑term fixes rather than temporary patches * Managing AD, Group Policy, permissions, and access controls to keep the environment secure and consistent * Overseeing M365 administration, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and identity management * Deploying and managing devices through Intune, SCCM, MDT, or WDS * Improving monitoring, alerting, and reporting to increase visibility and reduce noise * Automating repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload * Supporting ongoing infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations, and optimisation work If this sounds like the right next step, feel free to apply or reach out and we can run through the details
