About the SEN English Teacher Role: As an SEN English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to students with a range of special educational needs. You will play a key role in developing literacy skills, confidence, and communication abilities while creating a safe and structured learning environment. Key Responsibilities as SEN English Teacher: * Differentiated Teaching: Plan and deliver tailored English lessons that meet the individual needs of SEN students. * Literacy Development: Support pupils in developing reading, writing, and communication skills. * Behaviour Support: Implement positive behaviour management strategies to support engagement and learning. * Progress Monitoring: Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching methods where necessary. * Collaboration: Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic student development. To succeed as an SEN English Teacher, you will need: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. * Experience working with SEN students, ideally within a specialist or alternative provision setting. * Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature. * Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach to teaching. * An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
