Teacher of Physical Education (Male or Female)
Temporary Contract: September 2026 – December 2026
Full-Time | Secondary School (11–18)
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed, and inspiring Teacher of Physical Education to join a successful and supportive PE department on a temporary basis from September 2026 to December 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner to contribute to a high-achieving school community, delivering high-quality PE lessons that engage, challenge, and motivate students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach both practical and theoretical components of PE (including GCSE/BTEC Sport) would be advantageous, though not essential.
The Role
Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons to students of varying abilities.
Promote high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour.
Contribute to the assessment, tracking, and reporting of student progress.
Support the wider life of the school through extracurricular sport, fixtures, and enrichment activities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and further develop a strong curriculum.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a specialism in Physical Education.
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for sport and physical activity.
Have the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
Be committed to maintaining high standards within the classroom and beyond.
Contribute positively to a team-oriented and ambitious department.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
