Job Description – Rearing Farm Supervisor Location: Poultry Rearing Farms Department: Agriculture Reports to: Agricultural Director The Role We are looking for an experienced Rearing Farm Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day management of our poultry rearing farms, ensuring the highest standards of bird welfare, flock performance and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing farm teams, maintaining compliance with industry standards and supporting the successful rearing of healthy pullets. Key Responsibilities * Manage the daily operation of poultry rearing units, ensuring efficient and effective farm performance. * Lead, motivate and develop the on-site team to deliver the highest standards of bird welfare and food hygiene. * Ensure bird welfare remains the primary focus across all farm activities. * Monitor flock performance and proactively manage operations to achieve both short- and long-term business objectives. * Support the Agricultural Management team with flock management activities, including blood sampling, weighing pullets and other husbandry tasks. * Ensure compliance with all relevant animal welfare, food safety and environmental regulations. * Prepare for and manage external inspections and audits, including DEFRA, BEIC Lion Code, RSPCA Assured and Organic Food Federation standards. * Maintain compliance with the ETI Base Code and company ethical standards. * Work alongside the Health & Safety Manager to promote and develop safe working practices across the farms. * Maintain accurate flock, production and compliance records. About You * Previous experience in a poultry rearing, farm supervisory or farm management role. * Strong knowledge of poultry husbandry, bird welfare and flock management. * Experience leading and developing farm teams. * Good understanding of poultry legislation, biosecurity and industry compliance standards. * Experience managing audits and inspections. * Highly organised with strong record-keeping and communication skills. * Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example. * Full UK Driving Licence.
