Salary: Circa £70,000 to £80,000 depending on experience and background
We are working with a growing high-end gastropub and restaurant group that is looking for an Assistant Group Executive Chef to support the Chef Director as the business continues to grow.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a strong multi-site chef operator who has worked across premium restaurants, quality gastropubs, fine dining, and high-volume food-led operations.
The company has built a strong reputation for quality, with some sites holding Bib Gourmand recognition. This gives a clear indication of the food standards, attention to detail, and consistency expected across the group.
The Role
As Assistant Group Executive Chef, you will work closely with the Chef Director across the London estate, supporting daily kitchen operations, food standards, training, menu consistency, and new site development.
This is a hands-on role.
You will be in the kitchens, working directly with Head Chefs and their teams, helping them deliver consistent quality while making sure each site runs smoothly, commercially, and to the expected standard.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Chef Director across multiple London sites
Maintain high standards across food quality, presentation, consistency, and service
Work closely with Head Chefs to develop, coach, and strengthen their kitchen teams
Assist with menu development, seasonal changes, and supplier relationships
Support new openings, launches, and operational rollouts
Help improve kitchen systems, stock control, GP, labour, ordering, and compliance
Be visible and hands-on during service when needed
Drive consistency while respecting the character of each site
Identify training needs and help build stronger kitchen leadership across the group
The Ideal Candidate
Strong multi-site experience within premium restaurants, gastropubs, or quality food-led groups
Background across fine dining, premium casual, or high-volume operations
Experience working at a high level in quality fresh food kitchens
Exposure to Michelin Guide, Bib Gourmand, rosette, or high-quality fresh food environments would be highly advantageous
Confident supporting several kitchens at once
Hands-on, calm, organised, and highly operational
Strong understanding of food quality, consistency, GP, labour, and kitchen controls
Able to build trust with Head Chefs and kitchen teams
Comfortable working in a growing business where systems are still developing
Passionate about fresh food, quality produce, and team development
This Role Would Suit
A strong Group Head Chef looking for a bigger platform
A Senior Head Chef with multi-site exposure
A Development Chef with strong operational experience
A Head Chef from a premium group ready to move into a wider leadership role
Why Apply?
London-based senior chef role
Circa £70,000 to £80,000 package
Growing premium hospitality group
Some sites with Bib Gourmand recognition

Work closely with an experienced Chef Director
