About the role
Regional Sales Manager - Juul Labs, Greater London, United Kingdom
Regional Sales Manager - Juul Labs
The Role:
As Regional Manager, your core focus is the consistent delivery of high performance and the continuous development of team capability. Working in close partnership with the Juul City Development Manager (CDM), you will act as the operational lead, translating the overarching city strategy into high-impact field results.
This is a leadership role requiring a strategic mindset and sharp commercial acumen. By spending your time in the field, you will coach your team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Brand Ambassadors (BAs) to peak performance, ensuring they operate as category experts capable of driving growth within a highly regulated landscape.
You will bring Juul Labs mission to life: To transition the worlds billion adult smokers away from combustible cigarettes, eliminate their use, and combat underage usage of our products. You will be responsible for the brilliant basics of regional execution, ensuring your team upholds the highest standards of responsible retailing while consistently exceeding commercial KPIs.
TERRITORY:London, Brighton, Southampton, Bristol, Cardiff
Key Responsibilities:
- Regional Leadership: Lead and inspire a regional team of BDMs and BAs. You will take full ownership of their on-the-job coaching and professional development, conducting regular field accompaniments and audits to upskill staff and build a "best-in-class" field force.
- Performance Delivery: Own the delivery of regional targets across both BDM and BA. You are responsible for hitting specific KPIs, including distribution, activation, consumer engagement, and implementing immediate corrective actions where gaps appear.
- Field Coaching & Capability: Spend 4 days a week in the field coaching your team. You will actively upskill both BDMs and BAs, demonstrating best in class commercial sales, execution and engagement.
- CDM Partnership: Act as the field team operational link to the Juul City Development Manager. You will provide real-time feedback on regional barriers for the field team and what that specific city needs.
- Execution Compliance: Ensure "Brilliant Basics" are non-negotiable. You will audit in-store visibility, availability, and compliance standards (Challenge 25) to ensure 100% brand integrity across the team.
- Reporting & Insight: Guarantee the accuracy of all CRM data. You will provide the Juul CDM and your Account Director with "ground truth" insights on category activity and retailer sentiment to shape local strategy.
Requirements:
- People Management & Coaching Expertise: Experience in field sales management, ideally within FMCG, Tobacco, or Vaping. You are an expert in on-the-job training and can demonstrate how you have previously moved a team from underperforming to high achieving through capability building.
- Performance Management: A proven track record of managing field teams, achieving KPIs and making the right interventions to mitigate performance risks. You know how to motivate a team to "win" in a competitive and highly regulated environment. You are comfortable holding people accountable for their delivery while maintaining a positive, "one-team" culture.
- Commercial Sharpness: You understand the levers that drive sales in the independent and symbol sectors and can see the bigger picture. You coach your team on how to deliver commercial propositions and brand activations.
- Integrity & Professionalism: A commitment to responsible retailing. You lead by example in navigating the complexities of a highly regulated industry.
- Analytical Proficiency: Tech-savvy and highly competent in using CRM systems and data-visualisation tools to track team performance and regional trends.
- Licence: A full, valid UK driving licence is essential. As is a willingness to travel extensively across the region.
Benefits:
- 37,000 salary
- Up to 20% performance-related bonus
- 4,000 car allowance
- Best-in-class training and support
- Clear career development opportunities
- Health, wellbeing and financial guidance support
- Holiday accrual linked to length of service
