Higher Level Teaching Assistant ABOUT THE SCHOOL Prospero Teaching is looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Welling, Bexley. This welcoming primary school in Welling, Bexley provides a supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to succeed. The successful HLTA will join a dedicated team, supporting teaching and learning through interventions, classroom support, and lesson cover where required. The position is open to experienced HLTAs and qualified Teaching Assistants and offers a full-time, long-term opportunity. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS · Location - Welling, Bexley · Position - Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) · Type of work - Supporting teaching and learning across the primary phase, delivering interventions, covering lessons, and supporting pupils' academic and personal development · Contract or position start date - September 2026 · Full time/part time - Full Time · Rate of pay - GBP120 - GBP150 per day (depending on experience) · Hours - 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS · Previous experience working as a HLTA, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar school-based role · HLTA status or relevant qualification · Experience delivering interventions and supporting whole-class learning · Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum · Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year is desirable (training can be provided where required) · GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent · Strong communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: · Hold Right to Work in the UK · Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application · Provide two professional child-related references covering at least the last two years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this Higher Level Teaching Assistant role, please apply with a copy of your up-to-date CV.
