Job Opportunity: Senior Care Assistant
Colchester
Brighthire Recruitment is advertising on behalf of our client, who is looking for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join their dedicated team within a small, family-run residential care home near Colchester.
The home provides residential, dementia, respite, and palliative care and is currently rated Good by the CQC. With a strong focus on person-centred care, the service is committed to creating a warm, welcoming, and homely environment.
The home supports up to 28 residents and has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality care through a dedicated and supportive staff team. ________________________________________ Key Details: Permanent position 36 hours per week Flexibility required to work both days and nights Shift Times: 07:45
20:00 19:45
08:00 Paid breaks are included in all shifts.
Pay: £14.82 per hour Overtime paid at time and a half Christmas & New Year paid at double time ________________________________________ Duties & Responsibilities: Organising and managing day-to-day shift responsibilities Dispensing and administering medication Liaising with GPs, District Nurses, and other healthcare professionals Supporting staff with all aspects of personal care, including assisting residents with meals Carrying out regular wellbeing checks on residents Completing all required paperwork and care documentation accurately ________________________________________
Candidate Requirements: Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Senior Care Assistant Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential Must be flexible to cover both day and night shifts Due to the preferences of many of the residents, this role is open to female applicants only We do not offer sponsorship for this role.
