Contek Recruitment are currently working with a well-established and growing precision manufacturing company who are looking to recruit a Junior Production Engineer to join their expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and career-driven individual looking to develop within a hands-on engineering environment (office based role). The successful candidate will receive training and development across a variety of production engineering functions, with exposure to design, estimating, purchasing, supplier liaison, and manufacturing support.
The Role Working closely with experienced engineers and management, duties will include:
Assisting with design and engineering tasks using CAD software
Supporting estimating and quotation activities
Purchasing materials and liaising with suppliers
Conducting supplier visits and maintaining strong supplier relationships
Supporting production and manufacturing processes
Assisting with project coordination and documentation
Using Microsoft Office packages for reporting and administration
Candidate Requirements Previous engineering or manufacturing experience preferred
Experience using a CAD package is highly desirable (Autodesk Inventor experience advantageous)
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Strong communication and organisational skills xwzovoh
Willingness to learn and develop across multiple engineering disciplines
Positive attitude with a proactive approach to work
