Automotive Quality Engineer

Recruit4staff are representing a leading manufacturing business in their search for an Automotive Quality Engineer to work in Wolverhampton. Job Details: Pay: Up to £22.50 per hour (PAYE) or up to £27.15 per hour (Umbrella) Hours of Work: 7.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday, but flexibility is required, as it could involve possible Afternoon Shifts Duration: Temporary role for 6 months initially but this could be extended Benefits: Immediate start available and potential overtime opportunities. Job Role - Automotive Quality Engineer Providing structured supplier technical assistance Ensure purchased components meet required standards for Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost Lead & support robust closure of all supplier quality related issues for all new model related programmes Using 8D methodology Improving Supplier capability Leading a variety of projects Supplier issue management Developing relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders and supplier representatives Assess & implement escalation for supplier whom have recorded repeat / significant quality issues during pre build activities within the plant Working cross-functionally with Manufacturing/Engineering teams to provide technical problem solving support to any issues Essential Skills Experience, or Qualifications: Previous experience as a Quality Engineer within a Automotive/EPMC environment Suitably qualified within Engineering / Quality Strong knowledge of 8D - Essential Experience with technical such as APQP, PPAP, 8D, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing etc Must have strong communication skills Understanding of Automotive quality processes Desired Skills Experience, or Qualifications Six Sigma Green Belt Experience within BIW, Powertrain, Chassis, Trim or Electronics Supply Chain Experience working in a EPMC environment Commutable From: Wolverhampton, Wednesbury, Walsall, Birmingham, Telford, Shrewsbury, West Midlands, Dudley, West Bromwich Similar Job Titles: Supplier Quality Engineer, SQE, Quality Engineer, Automotive Quality Engineer, Supplier Part Quality Engineer For further information about this role, please apply now.
