Sporty Teaching Assistant - ALN Experience Required in Monmouthshire

Pay rate: £16.11 per hour
Are you an energetic, sporty Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)? We are working with a welcoming and supportive school in Monmouthshire seeking a confident and proactive TA to join their team this September.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on role and can use sport and physical activity as a tool to engage pupils, build relationships, and support positive behaviour.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with a range of ALN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
Using sports, movement, and practical activities to encourage engagement and participation
Assisting the class teacher with delivering tailored learning and interventions
Promoting positive behaviour strategies and supporting emotional regulation
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may present challenging behaviours
We're Looking For:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within an ALN/SEN setting
A sporty, energetic personality - someone who can bring enthusiasm into the classroom
Strong behaviour management skills and resilience
A proactive, adaptable approach and willingness to get involved
A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed
