Real Estate & Housing team within Commercial Banking Coverage.
Role Overview
Managing a defined portfolio of SME client relationships in the Real Estate sector, delivering a great client experience and identifying opportunities to grow income, balance sheet and market share.
Responsibilities
- Grow income, balance sheet and client numbers while managing associated risks.
- Manage a portfolio of client relationships focusing on the Real Estate sector.
- Identify client needs and develop strategies, leveraging product and support teams.
- Undertake lending assessments and implement appropriate client solutions.
- Respond to clients’ key moments of truth, including lending not handled by the Client Relationship Team.
- Manage risk and reward balance, ensuring lending and contingent liabilities meet policy requirements.
- Be the "go‑to" banker in the geographic area of responsibility.
- Maintain a high profile with external influencers and the local business community.
- Forge effective partnership with pooled support in the Client Relationship Team.
- Promote the bank’s image and work with Business Development, Product Partners to create new opportunities.
- Ensure activities comply with internal and external policies, including credit, asset quality, reporting, legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Highly proficient at building and maintaining relationships with external professionals.
- Specialist credit and real‑estate sector knowledge with a track record delivering excellent client experiences.
- At least 3 years of proven experience, including winning new clients, growing business and delivering results.
