Control Systems Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to take ownership of automation and control systems within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a specialist role, suited to someone whose experience is heavily focused on PLC programming, modification and fault finding. Key Responsibilities * Act as the technical lead for PLC and machine control systems * Programme, modify and fault find PLCs, including Siemens and Mitsubishi * Diagnose faults across automated equipment and industrial control systems * Support equipment upgrades, new installations and system improvements * Review and update electrical drawings, schematics and control documentation * Work with suppliers and contractors on automation and controls projects * Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities * Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and manufacturing processes About You * Strong, hands-on PLC experience gained in a dedicated controls, automation or systems-focused role * Experience programming and fault finding on Siemens and Mitsubishi PLCs * The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic * Experience working with automated machinery within a manufacturing equipment * A methodical approach to fault finding, problem solving and root cause analysis Package * Salary starting from £50,000 per annum * Monday–Friday dayshift role * Generous annual leave allowance * Overtime available * Pension contribution * Death in service --- STEM Recruitment Solutions Ltd operates as both a Recruitment Agency and a Recruitment Business.
