This is a fast-paced, site-based role focused on supplier scheduling, delivery performance, and ensuring continuity of supply in line with production requirements.
You will play a key role in maintaining material flow into a complex manufacturing environment, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to prevent shortages and improve supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities Manage supplier delivery performance across a portfolio of approximately £10M spend Schedule suppliers in line with Master Production Schedule (MPS) Maintain accurate data within MRP/ERP systems Update and track supplier promise dates to ensure accuracy Identify and escalate supply risks, bottlenecks, and constraints Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and external supply reviews Drive ongoing supplier performance improvements Manage day-to-day supplier relationships and communication Lead or support supplier review meetings and scorecard processes Work closely with internal functions including production, receiving, and quality teams Support supplier non-conformance, returns, and claims processes Resolve invoice queries to ensure timely supplier payment Ensure adherence to procurement processes and health & safety standards Key Requirements Essential Degree qualified OR 2 years' experience in procurement / supply chain Strong experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment Knowledge of MRP / xwzovoh ERP systems (e.g.
SAP) Experience managing suppliers and delivery performance Strong Excel / IT skills Desirable APICS / MCIPS qualification Business-related degree Experience in aerospace or highly regulated industries Additional Information Regular travel to supplier sites may be required This is a hands-on, operational role focused on ensuring materials are delivered on time to support production Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, reactive environment
