Associate Director – Water & Flood Riskð London (Hybrid Working)ð 75,000 - 95,000 + Excellent Benefits PackageAn award-winning multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead and grow its Water & Flood Risk team in London.This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded professional to play a key leadership role within a highly respected business, delivering flood risk, drainage and water management solutions across a diverse portfolio of development projects.Working alongside senior leadership, you will help shape the future of the discipline, drive business growth, mentor technical teams and provide expert advice to both public and private sector clients.The RoleAs Associate Director, you will:Lead and manage a growing team of Water & Flood Risk specialistsOversee the successful delivery of multiple projects across a variety of sectorsProvide technical leadership in flood risk, drainage and hydraulic modellingAct as Project Manager, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budgetBuild and maintain strong client relationshipsSupport planning appeals, public inquiries and expert witness activitiesReview technical outputs and maintain high quality standardsDrive business development, tender submissions and client growth opportunitiesMentor and develop engineers and consultants across the teamContribute to strategic planning and operational management of the disciplineAbout YouYou will have:10+ years' consultancy experience within flood risk and drainageA degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science or a related disciplineStrong knowledge of UK planning policy, flood risk legislation and drainage designExperience delivering Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and hydraulic modelling studiesProven success obtaining approvals from Local Planning Authorities, LLFAs and the Environment AgencyStrong commercial awareness and project management experienceExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA full UK driving licenceDesirableChartered status (CEng, C.WEM or equivalent)Master's degree in a relevant disciplineExperience with Nutrient Neutrality, Water Neutrality and Environmental Impact AssessmentsIndustry profile through publications, presentations or technical leadershipExperience influencing policy, standards or best practiceWhat's On Offer?75,000 - 95,000 salary depending on experiencePerformance-related bonusHybrid and flexible working arrangementsEnhanced pension contributionBuy and sell holiday schemeProfessional membership fees paidEV salary sacrifice schemeCycle to Work schemeSeason ticket loanStructured career progression and leadership developmentOngoing CPD, mentoring and technical trainingInclusive, collaborative and supportive working environmentIf you're looking for a senior leadership opportunity where you can influence strategy, develop teams and work on some of the UK's most challenging water and flood risk projects, we'd love to hear from you.
