Warehouse operative with FLT

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative with FLT (Forklift Truck) certification to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in efficiently managing warehouse operations, ensuring the safe handling and movement of materials, and maintaining accurate stock records. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to a well-organised and safety-conscious environment. Monday to Friday 6am-2pm Duties * Operate forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods within the facility * Bailing recyclable waste * Handle materials with care, including loading and unloading lorries, pallets, and containers * Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying deliveries against purchase orders and packing lists * Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance checks to ensure operational safety * Support in organising stock storage areas for optimal space utilisation and accessibility * Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies promptly * Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment in accordance with health & safety regulations Requirements * Valid forklift truck licence (Counterbalance) is essential * Proven experience working in a warehouse environment, ideally with knowledge of warehouse management systems * Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently * Basic mathematical skills for stock counting and data entry tasks * Strong organisational skills with attention to detail * Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team * Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks throughout the shift This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking a hands-on position within a busy warehouse setting.
