The below job description will outline this position of: CTV Deckhand (Onboard)
Typically, this person will support the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the vessel, assisting with deck operations, maintenance tasks and general seamanship duties while ensuring compliance with all maritime safety regulations.
HSB Technicals client is an established and well-regarded business entity.
Duties and Responsibilities of the CTV Deckhand (Onboard): Assist with mooring operations, vessel tie-ups and safe passenger transfers
Support cargo handling and equipment loading/unloading operations
Carry out routine deck maintenance including cleaning, painting and preservation work
Assist with basic mechanical tasks and engine room support where required
Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of deck areas and equipment
Participate in regular vessel inspections and safety drills
Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime regulations and company procedures
Assist the Master and Engineer as required during operations
Maintain accurate logs and report any defects or safety concerns promptly
Carry out all duties in accordance with STCW regulations and company policies
Qualifications and xwzovoh Requirements for the CTV Deckhand (Onboard):
British / Right to Work in the UK
Previous experience working onboard CTVs or similar workboats (Desirable)
AEC 1 (Essential)
All STCW certifications to be in date, including ENG1
Good understanding of deck operations and vessel safety procedures
Ability to work effectively within a small crew environment
Strong work ethic and proactive attitude
Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable)
