Sales Ledger & Credit Controller (Part-Time)

Location: Bury St Edmunds
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 pro rata (depending on qualifications and experience)
Hours: 2 days per week (Monday & Tuesday)
Contract: Ongoing Temporary Assignment

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and self-sufficient Sales Ledger & Credit Controller to join our team on an ongoing temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, high-volume transactional environment and is confident managing the full sales ledger and credit control function with minimal supervision.

Due to business demands, the successful candidate will take ownership of the credit control process, ensuring outstanding debts are proactively managed while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the end-to-end sales ledger function.
• Raising and processing a high volume of sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Taking ownership of credit control activities, including chasing outstanding debt via telephone and email.
• Monitoring customer accounts and maintaining accurate debtor records.
• Reconciling customer accounts and resolving invoice queries in a timely manner.
• Allocating incoming payments and investigating discrepancies.
