Mechanical Project / Contracts Manager (HVAC) £55k-£65k (subject to experience) + Car Allowance + Benefits Location: - Bedford Full-time | Permanent We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project/Contracts Manager with a strong focus on heating, plumbing, and gas systems to join a leading and well-established client of ours within the M&E industry. You'll manage multiple projects (typically anything up to around £500k in value, mainly within refurbishment across commercial, healthcare, education, and industrial sectors. The Role Manage multiple mechanical projects from start to finish Oversee labour, subcontractors, and materials Attend client and site meetings Ensure quality, compliance, and H&S standards Handle project finances, variations, and procurement Support site teams with technical guidance What We're Looking For 5 years + in mechanical building services Strong experience managing multiple projects Knowledge of HVAC, LTHW/CHW, plantrooms & domestic services Commercial awareness and leadership skills Ideally CSCS (Manager/Black Card) - either current or previously held Ideally SMSTS - either current or previously held Desirable - HNC / HND / Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering Full UK Driving Licence Be commutable to Bedford What's on offer £55,000 - £65,000 salary Car allowance 20 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays Pension Mobile phone Career progression To apply for this role, please forward your CV to Mike Prew at Alecto Recruitment or give us a call in strict confidence.
