Procurement Manager

Procurement Manager, Pharmaceuticals, circa £50K-£55K, Surrey Are you experienced in pharmaceutical procurement and enjoy building strong supplier relationships? We are recruiting a Procurement Manager to join a growing pharmaceutical wholesaler based in Surrey. This company is part of a larger international group with headquarters in Europe and a strong reputation within the pharmaceutical industry. With continued growth across the business, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in procurement, supplier management and commercial decision making within a supportive and collaborative team. The role: As Procurement Manager your responsibilities will include: * Managing and developing relationships with existing and new suppliers * Analysing spend, purchasing activity and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and margin improvement * Processing purchase orders for internal and group sales * Ensuring procurement documentation is maintained and audit ready * Identifying new sourcing opportunities and routes to market for pharmaceutical products * Supporting global group requests for UK origin products with competitive quotations * Working closely with other departments to ensure smooth communication What we’re looking for: To be successful in the role of Procurement Manager you will ideally have: * Experience within pharmaceutical procurement, purchasing or commercial activities * A pharmaceutical wholesaling background * Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify buying opportunities and improve margins * Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail * Good IT skills, including MS Office (Excel, Outlook); SAGE experience would be advantageous * Experience within clinical trials procurement or export procurement would be beneficial The package: In return, the successful candidate will receive: * Salary circa £50K-£55K DOE * Pension scheme * Free parking * Opportunity to grow within a wider international group Location and how to apply The Procurement Manager role is based in Surrey and is commutable from Farnborough, Camberley, Woking, Guildford and Bracknell.
