Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Centres Location: Hybrid if close to offices throughout the UK or Fully Remote Salary: £55,000–£70,000 + benefits depending on experience If you’re looking for a role where you’ll get exposure to large-scale Data Centre projects, genuine flexibility, and the chance to work alongside experienced mission-critical engineers, this is worth considering. We’re working with a growing consultancy delivering complex projects across the mission-critical sector who are continuing to expand their Mechanical team. The business has a strong pipeline of Data Centre work and offers the flexibility to work remotely while still remaining closely connected to projects and the wider engineering team. What you’ll be doing You’ll support the delivery of mechanical building services design across Data Centre projects, working from concept through to detailed design and delivery. The role offers a good mix of technical delivery, coordination, and project involvement, alongside opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical discussions internally. Key requirements Experience within mechanical building services design Previous Data Centre or mission-critical project experience is essential Good understanding of UK and/or international standards Experience with design software such as Revit, AutoCAD and IES Comfortable working within multidisciplinary project teams Able to manage deadlines and coordinate project deliverables Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar Working towards Chartership or interested in pursuing itWhat’s on offer Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience Remote working available with Birmingham and London offices Hybrid working for those local to the offices Bonus scheme Pension contribution Monthly healthcare allowance 25 days holiday + bank holidays 37.5 hour working week 9 day fortnight available Annual pay reviews and progression opportunities Chartership support and professional developmentIf you’d like to hear more, apply now and I can talk you through the projects, team, and long-term opportunities in more detail.
