About the role
Role Overview
Kyndryl Consult is the fastest‑growing business within the organisation and instrumental to the company's strategic growth objectives. As a Consult Partner, you will play a key leadership role across multi‑disciplinary teams, guiding them through complex consulting engagements and positioning strategic change agendas within Kyndryl's largest accounts across the C‑suite. You will be responsible for leading client engagement, delivering high‑quality work, and driving profitable growth aligned with our core value pillars (Technical Continuous Modernisation, Innovation at Scale, or Security and Resilience).
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to Profitable Growth
Drive significant financial outcomes through sales (≈£12‑15m per annum) and managed‑revenue targets; ensure sustained growth, manage margin expectations and backlog growth; support the identification, pursuit and conversion of a pipeline of capital‑markets consulting and technology transformation opportunities; undertake scoping and fee negotiation while ensuring profitability and risk containment.
- Client Engagement
Build and maintain deep relationships with client CXOs, be the “go‑to” advisor for senior executives, lead C‑level interactions, deliver consulting initiatives and outputs, and demonstrate credibility in capital‑markets transformation, trading technology, regulatory programmes, and complex consulting engagements; enhance client satisfaction (NPS) and secure references.
- Operational Excellence
Achieve individual and team utilisation targets; design complex engagements (front‑to‑back transformation, trading platform modernisation, cloud migration, data transformation, regulatory change programmes); oversee delivery to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction; act as the ongoing client escalation point.
- Leadership, Management & People
Lead by example, foster continuous personal and professional development, challenge peers, and ensure outcomes are commercially focused, value‑adding and effectively executed.
- Strategic Contribution
Utilise capital‑markets, financial‑markets and technology expertise to shape and drive Kyndryl’s strategic initiatives; align with the company’s vision, drive external eminence, innovation, and thought leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
- Industry and Client Experience
Extensive experience in client engagement and relationship management at the CXO level; proven track record of selling, leading and executing complex projects with multi‑disciplinary teams in consulting, corporate or financial services environments.
- Financial Acumen
Effective financial acumen with experience driving revenue growth, managing margins, and supporting high‑value business‑development activities with senior stakeholders.
- Domain Expertise
Experience delivering transformation programmes across Equity, Fixed Income, FX, derivatives, Prime Services, Securities Services, Clearing & Settlement, Market Risk, Treasury, or regulatory change (MiFIDII, EMIR, BaselIII, BCBS239). Deep understanding of capital‑market trends, trading platforms, market infrastructure and regulatory change.
- Core Capability Focus
Expertise in Technical Continuous Modernisation, Innovation at Scale, or Security and Resilience; strong industry focus in Capital Markets covering Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance or Market Infrastructure.
- Personal Brand & Leadership
Sound personal brand and presence in the industry; ability to innovate and drive change; demonstrate mentorship, empathy, and positive outcomes in a complex matrixed environment.
- Technical & Productivity Skills
Exceptional PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills; ability to produce polished proposals, SOWs and deliverables; ensure compliance with client and internal standards.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to manage workshops, develop materials, and articulate insights to stakeholders at all levels with C‑level gravitas.
- Execution & Critical Thinking
Ability to analyse data objectively, deliver strategic roadmaps and recommendations, adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
