We are seekingaqualifiedRegistered Manager to be responsible for the smooth running our 2-bed Residential Childrens Home in Derby.

The Registered Manager is toensurethe provision of high-quality care is given to our young people in accordance with the Childrens Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, Ofsted and all other statutory and regulatory requirements.

The Registered Manager will promote the wellbeing and safeguarding of our young people and be responsible for the development and supervision of their team, encouraging professional progression where applicable.

The ideal candidate for the Registered Manager's role is to havepassion in workingwith young people and to becommitted to improving the lives of the young people we care for.

You should have strong leadership skills within Childrens Residential Care setting, along with 2 years previous experience in a residential management.

Working hours: 40 hours per week, 09:00 am
- 5:00 pm Monday Friday, with the requirement on occasion, to work such hours over and above your normal weekly pattern as reasonably required.

This role would also involve being placed on a 5 week rota to provide out of hours emergency on call to support the wellbeing of the young person and staffing team.

Skills and Qualifications Requires aLevel 5 diploma in Leadership and Management or near to completing.

Transferable qualification may be considered but must be recognised by Ofsted in orderto pass 'fit person' Ofstedregistration.

To be successful in the registration process with Ofsted Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively Effective communication skills with the ability to engage, motivate and inspire Cognisant of both professional and personal boundaries and maintaining a professional working relationship when engaging with senior managers, staff and most importantly the young people in our care.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Ensuring all Childrens Homes Regulations, Ofsted guidelines and Quality Standards are met at all times.

All aspects of care is planning and associated requirements are included in the Statement of Purpose and are achieved/reviewed on a regular basis.

Reg 44 visits are facilitated, and any actions/identified requirements are carried out promptly Reg 45s is completed and submitted to Ofsted on a six-monthly basis.

Health and Safety requirements are met at all times.

Documentation regarding a young persons care is kept up to date and shared with the team and all other interested parties as required.

Responsibility for progressing any complaints or safeguarding concerns and reporting to the relevant bodiesLADO, Ofsted, Social Workers etc.

Administration of daily/monthly staffing rotas, financial, supervision, training and all staffing related matters in accordance with company deadlines.

In association with HR/recruitment team manage the recruitment and retention of staff, liaising with HR regarding any concerns around practice or fulfilment of contractual obligations by the team.

The home remains financially viable by ensuring it remains fully occupied and carefully match new admissions, paying particular attention to the needs of the young person(s) already in situ.

Directly deliver Supervisions and carry out Personal Development plans (PDPs) for your team encouraging professional development and progression where appropriate.

On-Call responsibilities as required.

Ensure the young people live in a nurturing environment where they are safeguarded from harm and their voices are heard to encouraged to reach their full potential.
