Senior Quantity Surveyor - Berkshire Location: Berkshire (regional projects) Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + Car Allowance + Package Sector: Construction | Healthcare, Education & Leisure The Opportunity A well-established main contractor based in Berkshire is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work. The business operates across healthcare, education, housing, and leisure sectors, delivering projects typically between £3m-£14m. Their work is a mix of new build and refurbishment schemes, predominantly under JCT Design & Build contracts. They have built a strong reputation for delivering quality projects and maintaining long-term relationships with clients across the South. This is a key role within the commercial team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of projects and manage them through the full lifecycle within a stable and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Commercial Management - Take full responsibility for the commercial delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final accountCost Control - Manage project budgets, forecasts, and reporting to ensure financial targets are metProcurement - Lead subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and appointmentSubcontractor Management - Manage subcontractor accounts, variations, and paymentsValuations - Prepare and manage applications for payment and final accountsRisk Management - Identify and manage commercial risks across projectsCollaboration - Work closely with site, design, and senior management teams to ensure smooth project delivery What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor Experience delivering projects in the £3m-£14m range Background across healthcare, education, or leisure projects (preferred) Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills Ability to manage projects independently Good communication and negotiation skills Degree qualified or equivalent (preferred) Full UK driving licenceWhat's on Offer £70,000 - £85,000 + car allowance + package Opportunity to work across a range of projects and sectors Strong pipeline of secured regional work Stable business with repeat clients Clear progression within the commercial teamHow to Apply If you're interested in this Senior Quantity Surveyor opportunity, please apply via the link or contact James Mitchell for a confidential discussion.
