Deputy General Retail Manager (Designate)

Location: North London
This role supports the General Manager in delivering strong commercial performance, operational excellence, and a high-quality customer experience within a fast-paced, high-footfall retail environment. The position combines leadership, commercial ownership, and hands-on operational management.
Key Requirements
Deliver sales, margin, and KPI targets through effective trading and performance management
Analyse performance data and implement actions to improve revenue and profitability
Lead and maintain high standards of customer experience and service delivery
Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing retail team
Ensure effective rota planning aligned with trading needs and labour budgets
Maintain operational compliance, including stock control, health & safety, and procedures
Support daily store operations, including opening, closing, and issue resolution
Core Skills
Strong retail management experience in a fast-paced environment
Commercial awareness with a track record of achieving targets xwzovoh
Effective leadership and team development capability
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
Proficiency with retail systems (EPOS, reporting, stock management)
Flexibility to work across peak trading periods, including weekends and evenings
