About the role

Overview

The School of Modern Languages and the School of Philosophical, Anthropological and Film Studies seek suitably qualified applicants for the position of Network Coordinator & Post-Doctoral Research Assistant for the German Screen Studies Network (GSSN).

The successful applicant will, first, provide administrative support for the GSSN’s academic leads and, in particular, help plan, promote and deliver Network events and communications; second, assist with establishing and managing a new peer‑reviewed journal, German Screen Studies, to begin publication with Berghahn in 2027; third, edit a special issue of German Screen Studies departing from their research expertise.

This position is offered as a 0.3 FTE post (around 11 hours each week) for a fixed‑term of twelve months.

Salary: £38,784 pro rata, per annum.
