Farm Assessor - RSPCA Assured

Are you someone with experience in pig or poultry farming looking for a fresh challenge? With at least two years on a commercial farm and a strong commitment to animal welfare, this could be the perfect role for you.

Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.

As a Farm Assessor, you'll step away from the day-to-day demands of farm work, while staying connected to the industry. Enjoy a structured Monday to Friday schedule, regional travel, and the satisfaction of using your experience to make a real impact on animal welfare, without being tied to the farm.

In this role, you'll carry out assessments of farms, ensuring they meet high welfare standards. You'll have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of farmers, providing feedback to help them achieve best practices.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career while still being hands-on in the field. You'll receive a competitive salary, company car, healthcare, and pension, along with full training and support to transition into the role.

The role:

• Extensive travel
• Assessments - Conduct thorough farm assessments in adherence to RSPCA Assured's scheme.
• Feedback - Provide verbal assessment feedback and create a written report.
• Unannounced monitoring visits - conduct unannounced monitoring visits and review corrective actions for compliance.
• Admin - Schedule assessments, write reports and maintain records

About you:

• 2 or more years of experience working on a commercial pig or poultry farm
• Based in or near Norfolk
• UK driving licence
• Willing to travel extensively
• Commitment to high welfare standards

The package:

• £31,425 salary
• Company car
• Healthcare
• Pension
