ElectricianToensureCBCachievesitsvisionandbusinessobjectives,bysupportingtheRepairsTeamLeaderstodriveanddeveloptheserviceinordertoachieveandmaintaintopquartileperformanceinallcategories.
Todeliverhighqualitycustomerstandardsandcontributetoachievingandretainingthecustomerserviceexcellencestandard.
ElectricianTocarryoutawiderangeofelectricalworkassociatedwiththebusinessactivitiesofCBC.
Toundertakeallworktoacompetentrecognisedstandard,withminimalrisktothehealthandsafetyofallthoseitmayaffect.
MainDutiesandResponsibilitiesElectrician
1.TosupporttheRepairsTeamLeaders,throughpartnershipworking,inthedeliveryofCBCsvisionandvaluesandthedeliveryoftheServiceDeliveryPlan.
2.TosupporttheRepairsTeamLeaderswiththeachievementofstrategic,corporateandpartnershipinitiativesfortherepairsandinvestmentservices.
3.Tosupportthedirectorateinensuringthattherepairsandmaintenanceservicereflectstheneedsandaspirationsofthelocalcommunity.
4.TocontributetotheCouncilsoutofhourscalloutserviceandbeincludedonarota.
5.TosupporttheRepairsTeamLeadersindeliveringanexcellentvacantpropertyrepairsservice,responsiverepairsservice,gasservicing,maintenanceandcomplianceserviceandplannedmaintenanceservicesthatarecustomerfocussed
andmeetalllegislativeandstatutoryrequirements.
6.Carryoutalltypesofrepairandmaintenanceworkinamulti-skilledenvironmentalliedtotheelectricaltradediscipline.
7.Undertakeappropriateworkingacrosstradesduringpeaksandtroughsofdemand,surplus/shortfalloftradeskills,asrequiredbyatask,orasrequestedbyarepairsteamleader.
8.Completeworktoahighstandardofqualityandoutput.
9.Ensurethatrepairsarecarriedoutpromptlyandwithintheappropriatetimelimits.
10.Introduceyourselftothetenant,showproofofidentifyandexplainthenatureandpurposeoftherepair.Wearovershoeswithintenantedproperties.
11.Liaisewithotherbuildingtradesasnecessaryfortheefficientco-ordinationofworkactivities.
12.NotifytheRepairsTeamLeadersofanynecessarymajorvariationsfromtheworkasstatedontheworksorder.
13.MaintainsafemethodsofworkatalltimesandadheretocurrentHealthandSafetylegislation.
14.Wearappropriatepersonalprotectiveequipmentrelevanttothetask.
15.Reportallaccidentsand/orhazardousoccurrencestotheAreaBuildingCo-ordinator.
16.Completeandsubmittimesheets,vehiclesheetsandanyotherproceduralrequirementsasperthenatureofthejob.
17.Actatalltimesinanappropriateandcustomerfriendlymannerwhendealingwithtenantsand/ormembersofthepublic,ensuringthedeliveryofaneffectiveandappropriateservicetoallserviceusersfairlyandwithoutdiscrimination.
18.Attendrelevanttrainingcoursesasandwhenrequired.
