Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and security sector, is seeking a Systems Proving Engineer to join its Integration and Systems Validation team in Bristol. This permanent role will support the proving, integration and validation of naval-based air defence systems, with opportunities to work across laboratory, ground, harbour, sea and firing trials in the UK and overseas.Key Responsibilities:Working with systems engineering and design teams to plan, generate and execute trialsCreating trials documentation and preparing, delivering and following up internal and external Trials Readiness ReviewsEnsuring appropriate trials data is acquired and supporting the investigation and resolution of design issuesConducting post-trials data analysis and producing accurate technical reportsSupporting laboratory-based functional integration trials, system trials, ground trials, harbour trials, sea trials and firing trialsAssisting with laboratory management, including risk assessments, asset management, audits and laboratory safetyMaintaining hardware and software configuration controlCommunicating effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, partners and suppliers at engineering and management levelJob Requirements:Experience in systems engineering, systems integration, systems proving, design verification or a related engineering environmentUnderstanding of design proving, trials planning, system assessment and acceptanceExperience in one or more relevant areas, such as naval integration, missile test, interface design, electronic design and test, network integration, or electrical and mechanical interfacingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret trials data and investigate technical issuesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience of working with engineering teams, suppliers and external stakeholdersKnowledge of MBSE tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody or RTC would be beneficialExperience of coding, particularly Python, would be advantageousAdditional Information:The role is based in Bristol and requires a predominantly onsite working pattern of four to five days per weekTravel within the UK and overseas may be requiredApplicants must be British citizens or dual UK nationals with British citizenshipSuccessful applicants will be required to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks after offer stageBenefits:Company performance-related bonus schemeEmployer pension contribution of up to 14% combined with employee contributionOpportunities for paid overtimeUp to 15 additional days through a flexi-leave schemeFlexible working arrangementsEnhanced parental, paternity, neonatal and shared parental leaveSubsidised meals, free car parking and excellent onsite facilitiesSupportive employee-led inclusion networks and professional development opportunitiesIf you are a proactive Systems Proving Engineer with a background in systems engineering, integration or defence trials, our client would welcome your application.
