Flood Risk Consultant

Flood Risk Consultant Location: Bristol Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + benefits Type: Permanent A growing environmental consultancy is looking for a Flood Risk Consultant to join their Bristol team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in flood risk and drainage to work across a range of development and infrastructure projects. The Role You will be involved in delivering flood risk and drainage projects from initial assessment through to technical reporting and client delivery. Responsibilities will include: Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies Undertaking flood risk and catchment assessments Surface water management and SuDS design Supporting hydraulic modelling and flood mapping Reviewing development proposals and identifying flood constraints Preparing technical reports for planning applications Liaising with clients, local authorities and other consultants Supporting projects from feasibility through to detailed design About You Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Hydrology, Environmental Science or a related subject Previous experience in flood risk, drainage or water consultancy Experience producing Flood Risk Assessments and/or drainage strategies Knowledge of UK flood risk legislation, policy and guidance Experience with hydraulic modelling software such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW or HEC-RAS would be beneficial Strong technical writing and communication skills Full UK driving licence desirableThis is an excellent opportunity for a Flood Risk Consultant looking to develop their technical experience and progress their career within a growing consultancy
