Interim Operations Director or Head of Operations Daily Rate Contract or Fixed Term Contract

• Location: Northern Ireland - minimum 3 days per week on site

About the Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Interim Operations Director or Head of Operations to support the integration of two Operational teams into one aligned and scalable function.
Based in Northern Ireland, you will have direct responsibility for a team of 14, while working closely with the wider Operational team in the Mainland.
The teams currently operate with different processes, systems and ways of working. The focus of this interim role is to bring greater consistency across the operation and establish one team, one approach and clear end-to-end ownership.

You can choose if you want to work as a daily rate contractor or on a fixed term basis, the company are happy with whatever works best for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate the two Operations teams into a single operating structure.
• Align and standardise processes, workflows and ways of working.
• Identify and implement best practice across both teams.
• Establish a single ticketing solution and consistent end-to-end workflow.
• Align engineer management and job scheduling processes.
• Improve operational efficiency, visibility and resource utilisation.
• Lead and support the N.Ireland team of 14
• Create a lean and scalable operating model for the future.
• Work towards one Operations function under a single Head of Operations.

About You

You will be an experienced operational leader with a proven track record of:

• Managing operational teams across multiple locations.
• Integrating teams and aligning different processes and ways of working.
• Improving operational efficiency and performance.
• Implementing ticketing, workflow or job-management systems.
• Managing field engineers or technical operations.
• Leading teams through operational integration.
• Quickly understanding an existing operation and identifying practical improvements.
• Delivering results in an interim or contract environment.

You will be hands-on, pragmatic and comfortable working at pace, with the ability to build credibility quickly and make a tangible impact.
