Buyer

We’re looking for an experienced Buyer to join the Supply Chain team within a busy manufacturing environment.

You’ll manage a number of key suppliers across areas such as Engines & Mechanicals, Composites and Marine Components, making sure materials are ordered and delivered on time to support production.

Key Responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders to meet production requirements.
• Monitor supplier deliveries and chase outstanding orders where needed.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and manage their performance.
• Keep supplier and purchase order information accurate on SAP/ERP systems.
• Work with internal teams to resolve supply issues and avoid delays.
• Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance and the purchasing process.

About You

• Previous experience in Buying, Procurement or Supply Chain within manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience using an ERP system, ideally SAP.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and information.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Organised, commercially aware and confident dealing with suppliers.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure. xwzovoh

Experience within engineering, aerospace, marine, composites or mechanical components would be particularly useful.
