Mechanical Assembler
Location: North Essex
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm
Salary: Competitive, with overtime available
Overview
Our client is a well-established and growing specialist engineering manufacturer based in North Essex. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Assembler to join their production team.
Working as part of a skilled assembly team, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components to produce high-quality finished equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical assembly and fitting of components and assemblies.
Installation of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and braking systems.
Assembly and alignment of fabricated structures and moving components.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Carrying out quality checks throughout the build process.
Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
Working collaboratively to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
Strong mechanical aptitude and practical skills.
Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, automotive, commercial vehicle, trailer, agricultural machinery or plant environments.
Basic electrical knowledge.
Understanding of hydraulic systems.
Understanding of pneumatic systems.Full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
