Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to £52000 per annum + Bonus Scheme
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (9:00am – 5:00pm) with flexibility to provide on-call support when required.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our Children's Residential Home. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for children and young people.
You will lead and develop a dedicated staff team, maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations, and create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the home.
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
* Lead, supervise, and develop the staff team.
* Recruit, induct, and retain high-quality staff.
* Ensure children receive person-centred care and support.
* Manage rotas, staffing levels, and on-call arrangements.
* Maintain effective relationships with children, local authorities, families, and external professionals.
* Monitor safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management processes.
* Oversee budgets, records, and reporting requirements.
* Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards of care.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' experience working within children's residential care.
* At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a children's home.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
* Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements.
* Experience leading and developing staff teams.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
* Experience managing EBD and/or Learning Disability services.
* Experience supporting young people affected by CSE, CCE, Autism, or other complex needs.
* Experience contributing to Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
