About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to help build a developing campaigns function, working with colleagues across HR, policy, legal, operational and corporate services teams to turn complex objectives into clear, audience-focused communications. From recruitment and equalities initiatives to staff engagement, public awareness and organisational change campaigns, you'll lead activity that makes a real impact on both our people and the public.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Communications, you will provide expert campaign advice, influence senior stakeholders and help embed a more coordinated, evidence-led approach to communications across COPFS. Working alongside specialist colleagues in digital communications, media relations and external affairs, you'll ensure campaigns are strategically planned, effectively delivered and measured for success.

You'll join a supportive and experienced communications team, with opportunities to work closely with senior leaders, develop your strategic communications expertise and help shape the future of communications at COPFS. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of high-profile initiatives while influencing how campaigns are planned, delivered and evaluated across the organisation.

We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach to delivery. You'll be an excellent relationship builder, confident in influencing and constructively challenging stakeholders, and skilled at translating complex priorities into impactful campaigns. Most importantly, you'll be passionate about delivering communications that make a difference and excited by the opportunity to help shape a growing campaigns function within COPFS.
