Community safety Officer

As a Community Safety Officer in Rochdale, you will help manage community safety matters across residential properties within the Not For Profit sector. You will handle day-to-day casework and work with residents and local partners to help keep neighbourhoods safe and well managed.

Description

Manage community safety cases relating to antisocial behaviour and neighbourhood concerns.
Speak with residents to understand issues, record details and agree practical next steps.
Carry out visits to properties and neighbourhoods to review reported concerns.
Keep clear and accurate case notes, correspondence and evidence records.
Work with relevant local agencies to address community safety issues.
Provide clear updates to residents on the progress of their cases.
Prepare case information and documentation to support appropriate action.
Help maintain safe, respectful neighbourhoods across the organisation's property portfolio.Profile

A successful 'Community Safety Officer' should have:

Experience of managing community safety, neighbourhood or antisocial behaviour casework.
Ability to gather information, maintain accurate records and manage case documentation.
Confidence communicating with residents and partner organisations about sensitive matters.
Ability to carry out property and neighbourhood visits as part of case management.
Experience of handling concerns fairly, calmly and with clear follow-up.
Ability to organise competing cases and keep people informed of progress.Job Offer
