Company Accountant (Contract) Annual Salary: £50,000

- £55,000 (FTE) Location: Belfast Job Type: Full-time, 6 Month Contract, Office Based Join our growing retail client as their Company Accountant, where you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of our Group's financial operations during a period of transition.

Reporting directly to the Financial Director, this position is based in their head office in Belfast, offering a structured weekday schedule from 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in managing financial systems and improving organisational processes.

Day-to-day of the role: Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management.

Manage all journals and final GL balances, including reviewing month-end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts.

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Group's accounting records and financial systems.

Produce statutory accounts for the various companies within the division as required Prepare budgets and forecasts, continuously monitoring and reviewing performance against them to robustly report variances.

Actively manage overheads while seeking out areas for efficiencies and savings.

Ensure timely submissions and payments of VAT returns, complying with all relevant regulations.

Liaise with various departments to ensure the Finance department supports the needs of the Division effectively.

Liaise with auditors, tax advisers, brokers, bankers, and other parties as directed by the Financial Director.

Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).

Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.

High attention to detail with a drive to deliver continuous improvement.

Competent in the use of Excel and other accounting software. xwzovoh
