Finance manager

An established and growing organisation in Wallingford is looking to appoint a Finance Manager to join its finance leadership team. This is a broad and commercially focused role, offering responsibility for financial reporting, controls, team leadership and process improvement. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial information while supporting wider business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting activities Ensure robust financial controls and balance sheet integrity Prepare and review management accounts and financial reporting packs Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes Deliver insightful financial analysis to support business decision-making Manage, mentor and develop members of the finance team Drive finance process improvements and automation initiatives Support audit, tax and statutory reporting requirements Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the businessAbout You You'll be an experienced finance professional with a strong technical accounting background and previous experience managing teams within a fast-paced environment.You will ideally possess: Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience Experience leading and developing finance teams Excellent stakeholder management skills Strong systems and process improvement mindset Ability to operate effectively in a changing and growing organisationHays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
